Until September the Archive mostly documented. It held case files, records, rules, and routes, and it did not really talk.
That changed over five days.
The week
- Sep 12: FATHER SAMIEL // STILLNESS, The Devil Made Me Do It.
- Sep 13: ALEX // SILENCE, We Could Keep Going.
- Sep 14: DIANA // DREAM, You Learned the Name of the Feeling.
- Sep 15: the first weekly Archive Dispatch, which gathered the week's notes, including CATHY // HUNGER, The Toll Booth at Character Creation.
- Sep 16: Wednesday.
The format
Each Archive Note starts as something small enough to pass through a social feed, such as a meme, a line, an irritation, or a question. Then a character opens the door behind it and speaks through their Frequency. The top of every note is free. Patrons can continue beneath the divider into the deeper character, Frequency, and worldbuilding layer.
The street is where the memes live. The Archive is where they mean something.
Why it matters
This is the point where the site began speaking in voices rather than only filing records. It is also the first repeatable publishing rhythm the project has had that does not depend on shipping a new file.
