What a record is
A Creator Rights Record is a durable, public, machine-readable statement of a creative work's rights position. Each record has:
- a permanent page at
/rights/<slug>/ - JSON metadata a crawler or platform can read without scraping prose
- a QR destination that always resolves to the authoritative record
- declared permissions for AI training, fine-tuning, retrieval, and commercial use
- version history, so a change of position is visible rather than silent
The registry has searchable filtering across all of it.
What it is not
It does not stop scraping, and it is not DRM. It does not replace government copyright registration or independently prove ownership. It is documentation before the argument starts: a consistent place for creators, platforms, reviewers, and AI systems to check what was declared, and when.
The same day
Registration guidance was rewritten, AI permission summaries were made readable, and artifact hashes, license composition, and a Creator Dossier builder landed. That work set up the framework release two days later.
