The Anchor and the Glitch was a good story title. From the outside, though, it read like a volume subtitle in a series you had already heard of. It did not tell a stranger that this was the thing.
VeilSight does. It sounds like a named phenomenon, a capability, or a forbidden way of perceiving, which is exactly the territory CradlePoint lives in. It also makes people ask the right question.
What changed
- Title. CradlePoint: VeilSight, Book One. The book itself no longer carries "The CradlePoint Archive" in its name.
- Edition. v48, a second edition built from the v47 release. It has a new cover with delicate, cracked lettering, a new title page, and a copyright page that says it was previously published as The Anchor and the Glitch.
- One line of prose. Kai's device readout now says
VEILSIGHT: ACTIVE. The phrase was already in the book, at the moment everything turns strange. - The bundle. The PDF, EPUB, MOBI, and a wallpaper pack with every title plate re-lettered.
- The name, spelled properly. The setting is the CradlePoint Universe and the brand is CradlePoint, with a capital P. The current edition, v48.1, carries that spelling in its metadata.
What did not change
The story, the price, and anyone's access. Its Creator Rights Record keeps its permanent address and adds version 2 without rewriting version 1. The record now shows both titles and both file fingerprints.
Third name
It started as Resonance of the Void, became The Anchor and the Glitch in June 2025, and is now VeilSight. The first rename is here.
