The first version of the VeilDaemon site was a static form. It lasted under an hour.
That afternoon it became an interactive intake console. It opens on a Start Intake button, then a short introduction, then questions asked one at a time in a terminal voice. It does not present a page of fields. By evening it had a transmission toggle, external links that open safely in new tabs, a favicon, and the first version of the repository's copy rules for keeping the terminal's voice consistent.
Why a console
A form asks you to describe yourself. An intake console asks what it needs and decides what to do with you. That difference is the premise of everything VeilDaemon became: a system that routes observers, keeps records, and is slightly too interested in the fact that you found it.
Observer routing starts here.
